The Ear Saga Continues....

The drainage from Addie's ear infection is so thick that her tubes are blocked and cannot drain properly :( She was put on 10 days of Augmentin, then we return for a check up. If the tubes are still blocked at that time, they are going to have to put her under and go in to clean the tubes out. Uugghh my poor baby cannot catch a break

Doctors

Tomorrow we go for Addie's 9 month checkup at the pediatrician then we head to the ENT for her 1 month checkup post-tubes. Hopefully they can give us some insight into why she is having so many ear infections.

Fussy baby

The Ciprodex has stopped the green drainage that she had coming out of her ears, but she still is an unhappy camper with congestion, coughing, and nasal drainage. She is up quite a bit at night, which was rough on mommy given the time change and not getting in until 2 am from Kelly's Bachelorette. I gave her a little ibuprofen this am to relieve a little of her discomfort. Tried taking her outside with me while I worked in the flower beds thinking the outdoors would be a good distraction but not so much. She has finally drifted off to sleep in her crib...

Oh the ears!

Well her lungs sounded great! Her left ear is infected, but Dr. Graham said "the tubes are doing their job and draining out the fluid." He was decided not to put her on an antibiotic and just to restart the Ciprodex ear drops. She definetely got the bad ears from mommy :(

Please no RSV

We are heading to the doctor at 12:10. Addie has been sick since Tuesday with congestion and a cough that sounded dry but has turned to more of a wet cough the past couple of days. Luckily there doesn't seem to be any wheezing so I am praying she doesn't have RSV. There haven't been any recent cases of it at her daycare so maybe she just has a stubborn cold or sinus infection?? We shall see what Dr. Graham says. Dr. Robert was all booked up for the day- no suprise there!!

9 months old

It is hard to believe that our little baby girl is 9 months old already! It seems just like yesterday we were looking into those precious blue eyes for the first time and kissing those tiny little toes. Now she is on the move-crawling/scooting across the floor and babbling away. How lucky we are to have been blessed with such a beautiful, healthy baby girl; we never thought it was possible to love something so much. Even though we have had a few rough patches over the past 9 months, Addie had her tubes put in a month ago and is doing so much better! Our family is now on the mend and enjoying life to the fullest!
